The Anti-Statement
Frankly, we've grown a little weary of "statement" accessories. The term — originally coined to denote a flourish that's particularly big and bold — has morphed into a catchall adjective for any old accessory bursting with bells and whistles. Heels with tassels, belts with gilded horns, whatever. And while we're sure to return to such grand gestures in due time, we're delighted with how fresh and, well, subversive, small, dainty jewelry looks dangling from the necks, lobes and wrists of L.A.'s style set.
