Fashion's Night Out 2011: A Handy-Dandy Guide
Fashion's Night Out is nigh! The annual retail extravaganza happens this Thursday, starting around happy hour and shimmying its way into the wee hours. And, as predicted, there are scores of stores offering up champagne, strawberries, good vibes and killer deals. But there's no need to tromp all over the city like a tourist. Hit 'print' on these curated picks, organized by 'hood.
Mid-City
Madison Melrose: Where the wild things will be tonight!
What: Madison Los Angeles
When: 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Deets: Madison Los Angeles is teaming up with Style Section L.A. (Holler!) to host an FNO of epic proportions. Shoppers can sip champagne from Canella Bellini and enjoy 10 percent off their purchases. SSLA’s resident stylist, Ronit Nabi, will be on hand to style guests and dole out fashion tips. Partygoers can also enter to win a $250 gift certificate to the store.

What: The Marimekko Shop at Crate and Barrel
When: 6:30 pm to 8:30 p.m.
Deets: Few things in life are as smile-inducing as one of Marimekko's sunny printed textiles. For FNO, the Finnish brand is giving guests of their west coast flagship the opportunity to make their own necklaces out of their signature fabric.

What: The La Brea Block Party
When: 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Deets: A group of retailers in the groovy, so-cool-right-now South La Brea Avenue shopping district have joined forces for what will surely be a cool FNO scene. Participants include American Rag, What Comes Around Goes Around and French-bred men's boutique Feal Mor, who is offering a sailor bracelet with any $250 purchase, a beanie or scarf with purchases of $500 or more, and a Le Labo x Feal Mor candle with buys of at least $1,000. There will of course be food on hand and beer from the Upland, CA-based Dale Bros. Brewery.

What: Goldsign jeans at Ron Herman Melrose
When: 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Deets: As if meeting premium denim pioneer Adriano Goldschmied and getting your fortune told wasn't enough, the denim company will be offering an exclusive pumpkin-colored style of their best selling Misfit skinny corderouy pant. As an added bonus, the first 20 people to buy a pair of the brand's jeans will get a limited-edition make-up bag.

White's what's up at Curve right now...
What: Curve Boutique
When: 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Deets: Join philanthropic brand Falling Whistles at Curve and be a whistleblower for peace. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the sales will go to the non-profit company, which partners with local leaders to rehabilitate war-affected women and children as well as advocate for peace. Additionally guests can get an exclusive look at the jazzy new 6-piece limited edition whistles from DANNIJO (which we saw at MAGIC and fell madly in love with.)

What: Rachel Bilson at Sunglass Hut Beverly Center

Deets: As the "what" box says, Rachel Bilson — who happens to be the, uh, Sunglass Hut "style director" — will be on hand at the behemoth Beverly Boulevard mall to help guests pick out new shades. Get a free picture with the actress with your purchase. Obviously the entire Bev Center is in on the FNO fun, with Nicole Richie hosting the festivities, making it quite easy to roam around swilling free drinks without having to drive anywhere.

What: ARCADE Boutique

Deets: One of our favorite ever shoe designers, L.A.'s own Jerome Rousseau, will be on hand at ARCADE Boutique for a one-on-one shoe shopping experience. Get your new kicks autographed while indulging in sandwiches from The Grilled Cheese Truck and cocktails and sweets from Hypnotic Harmonie.
