New Kids on the Block
Shopping is most fun, in my opinion, when the weather is foul. Which makes this month's rundown of new stores all the more meaningful (three days of rain and I'm feeling damp on the inside.) From the swanky to the sporty, here are the newest additions to our booming retail landscape.
LOOK OVER THERE!: Styles from Superdry.
Sick of Abercrombie and American Eagle, boys? Sporty U.K. brand Superdry has opened its first West Coast store, and it's full of the same ilk of sporty-preppy garb. Only this label features major Asian streetwear influence, making it miles more slick. Prices range from $39 to $420.

MOODY GIRL: Emily the Strange started out as a skateboard graphic.
Gothy cartoon girl Emily the Strange has popped up at art gallery-cum-retail spot Royal/T to get us in the Halloween mood. Open through Nov. 11, the shop boasts books, artwork, and collectibles. Prices range from $3.99 to $399 for an Epiphone Emily the Strange G-310 SG electric guitar.

RUNNIN' WILD: Levi's make you very, very fast.
Levi's new beachside store features a bunch of vintage Levi's (score!) and new merch meant to entice the Malibu crowd. That means trucker hats, ya'll.

HOT STUFF: Jessica Stam in Fendi.
If you're into Fendi's Zucca-print and leather bags this is the store for you. It's stocked with the Italian label's newest and most iconic satchels. It's also the first Fendi store to feature a men's accessories and ready-to-wear department. Weird that they'd do that in the Beverly Center, but we'll take it. Prices range from $275 to, oh, thousands.

KICKY: Cool shoes at TenOverSix.
Swanky accessories store TenOverSix jsut moved into a new space on Melrose Ave., bringing its drool-inducing mix of odds and ends from brands including Band of Outsiders, Alexander Wang, Comme Des Garcons and Martine Sitbon with it.

Tala Jewelry
This multi-label store carries a range of interesting bauble brands, including Bochic and Chad Allison. Prices range from $30 to $40,000 for the full Paris Hilton bling.
