Outerwear We Wish We Could Wear
You know you get a little jealous when you see what people in colder climes actually get to wear without looking silly. Granted it's not enough envy to actually move somewhere where you have to chip frost off your windshield a la Fargo. But the fall 2010 collections were knock-outs for statement outerwear. Here are some of our favorites, now in stores.

Burberry
Christopher Bailey knows how to push our cold-weather buttons. Especialy with this single-breasted doe skin aviator coat with double collar ($4,995).

Alexander Wang
Camel is the new black. Ok, not exactly. But it was all over the runways for fall '10. We're not exactly sure how to categorize this piece -- poncho! no, overcoat with cutouts! whatever it is, we're liking it.

Marc Jacobs
If you're going to use fur (which this editorial staff is divided on re: ethics), you may as well use it in interesting ways. Marc Jacobs fall collection, easily our favorite from the designer in the last three years, does that with aplomb. Here, a "bisque" suede wrap coat with fur trim.

L.A.M.B.
Seems like the 80s are back…or maybe it never left to begin with. Either way we are loving the multicolor look of this L.A.M.B. boucle belted check coat. Perfect for a small splash of color during those dreary winter days. ($440)

Bogner
We are not huge fans of the puffer jacket that typically make people look like either the Michelin Man or a down comforter. However, when we saw Bogner take the style and infuse it with a military-esque look that we are currently lusting over. ($1,299)

Juicy Couture
Vests are great alternatives in California for days when the weather doesn’t quite call for a full coat. This Juicy Couture faux fur rabbit vest is great just those in-between days. The toggle closures add a comfortable touch to this piece. ($278)
