Street Style: Wine and Fashion al Fresco
Forget rooftops. This summer’s hottest happy hour is on a hilltop: Barnsdall Art Park in Los Feliz, to be exact. And on Friday evenings all summer long, you can pack a picnic, sip wine from Silver Lake Wine's finest bottles and grab a seat on the idyllic perch near Frank Lloyd Wright's Hollyhock House—otherwise known as some of the best real estate in the city.
Last Friday, we paid the $20 ticket price and found a laid back crowd of families, hipsters and a few industry types camped out on ikat blankets sharing cake and charcuterie. And the relaxed vibe was reflected in fashion ranging from madras, breezy vintage dresses and perhaps too much H&M. Some wine drinkers even went barefoot.
Shoes may have been left at home. But one type of accessory was definitely not forgotten: Babies.
