Oscar Fashion 2011: The Best of the Bestest
On a night of few fashion flubs, picking our fave red carpet looks was a tough job — but you know we had to do it. Behold, the gowns that made our short list from the big night...

1. Gwyneth Paltrow in Calvin Klein
Gwynnie rarely disappoints on the red carpet, and last night she sizzled in this metaliic, Grecian-lite gown from Calvin Klein...though we could have done without the sparkly do-dad on her waist.

2. Sandra Bullock in Vera Wang
So glad Sandra lost the too-young heavy bangs and shaggy frock and returned to her red carpet roots with this fire-engine-red Vera Wang gown, paired with a classic updo.

3. Mila Kunis in Elie Saab.
It's lavendar and uber-lacey — two things we'd usually turn our snouts up at. But it's all ciicking for Mila in this romantic, retro-feeling Elie Saab gown. Saab is a master draper, and this one dips and weaves like a dream.

4. Mandy Moore in Monique Lhuillier
Um, Hi, Mandy Moore. Didn't know you were swinging by. But, wowza — amazing dress, amazing makeup. A prime example of how to do 'shimmery.'

5. Amy Adams in L'Wren Scott
Ames is a chronic over-accessorizer, and she should definitely have left this lariat-esque necklace at home, but that aside, she killed it in this body-gripping L'Wren Scott number. Love the high neckline, obsessed with the vintage-inspired cap-sleeves.
