Street Style: Comune's Moto Tea Party
Comune knows how to throw a party with vroom. The men's contemporary fashion and accessories brand hosted its second annual Karlson Tea Party, a joint motorcycle-and-photography show, last weekend in Costa Mesa, luring some of the O.C.'s most fashionably louche locals.
Curated by renown motorcycle journalist Nelson Kanno, the event featured motorcycles built by Cole Foster, Ian Barry, Trevelen Rabanal, Kiyo, Kutty Notebloom, and John Edwards. On the photo side, there were works from Adam Wright of Road Course and Hauler photo zines and Canadian-born skate industry veteran Scott Pommier.
Over 600 guests came to get their groove on and swig biker-friendly Pabst Blue Ribbon. But while the hogs were bitchin', the fierce fashion stole the show. A few sartorial (and vehicular) highlights:

KNIFED: A prison tattoo on a pretty young girl. Always a good thing.

RUDE BOYS: Dark colors and plaids were de riguer at the event. Because only losers wear khaki to a motorcycle show.

PLASTERED: Moto shots from hog-lovin' lensmen.

TERRIBLE TWINS: "After this, let's use my afghan as a picnic blanket in the park."

HOG HEAVEN: One of the many cycles on display at the event.
